Competitive Intelligence Company needed a way to deliver curated, timely competitor news across many product markets worldwide, where each market had a different competitive set and a flood of commercially motivated news made manual selection difficult. With only two people in the CI department, they also needed a solution that could efficiently distribute relevant intelligence to thousands of users, support executive confidence in the insights, and surface competitor moves in Europe before the North American workday began. Northern Light addressed this challenge with its SinglePoint competitive intelligence knowledge management platform.

Northern Light created and operated a SinglePoint platform using Northern Light Business News plus licensed content from five market intelligence sources, along with newsletter and dashboard tools that let subject matter experts curate and distribute the same content to targeted user groups. The solution was optimized for executive preferences and mobile devices, and it delivered strong results: 150 newsletters and dashboards, more than 30,000 monthly views, and distribution to over 9,000 users worldwide. Competitive Intelligence Company also recruited 20 brand-team contributors, and Northern Light enabled a Europe-based “Morning Brief” published at 6:00 a.m. ET to keep executives informed before the U.S. business day began.
