Water Valley Land Company builds RainDance around 50 acres of cultivated landscape with Norris Design

Norris Design was engaged by Water Valley Land Company to help plan and design RainDance, a new agricultural community in Windsor, Colorado. The challenge was to create a modern residential development that celebrated the region's farming traditions, making them both functional and central to the community's identity.

The solution implemented by Norris Design was a master plan organized around four distinct seasonal districts, each with its own landscape, plantings, and crops. This approach connected residents directly to the agricultural cycles and provided shared produce from 50 acres of cultivated land. The project included creating habitats for local wildlife and establishing economic partnerships, such as one with the Colorado Cherry Pie Company. Norris Design's work earned several prestigious awards, including a Gold Award from the National Association of Home Builders for Best Landscape of a Community.
