ThedaCare and Nordic collaborate to extend Epic to 20 affiliated facilities

ThedaCare, a Wisconsin-based community health system, turned to Nordic after affiliating with Community Health Network and Wild Rose Hospital and needing to extend its existing Epic build to 20 affiliated facilities by July 1, 2014. With a tight Meaningful Use deadline and competing internal priorities, ThedaCare needed help implementing two critical access hospitals and 18 ambulatory clinics quickly and successfully.

Nordic’s Affiliate Solutions Team delivered an accelerated 19-week Epic implementation across multiple modules, including ADT/Prelude, Ambulatory, Cadence, ClinDoc, OpTime, Willow, and others, while supporting training for more than 600 end users and providing 60 go-live supporters. The result was a smooth transition: 90% of go-live issues were resolved within the first two weeks, over 20 areas were green at command center close, and ThedaCare successfully handed off maintenance to its support team.
