The Piedmont Clinic - Customer Case Study

Nordic worked with The Piedmont Clinic, part of Piedmont Healthcare in Atlanta, to help a clinically integrated network of physicians meet growing quality reporting demands. The clinic was struggling to produce the metrics needed for accountable care organization (ACO), electronic Clinical Quality Measures (eCQM), and Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) requirements.

Using an agile implementation approach, Nordic assessed, built, and validated quality measures, including SmartForm scripting to capture data within clinical workflows. Nordic also established structured build guidelines and optimized reporting through My Panel Metrics and external data sources. Over an eight-week engagement, Nordic built seven PQRS measures, optimized eight additional measures, and helped ensure Piedmont met regulatory requirements while reducing documentation burden for clinicians.
