Allina Health, a Minneapolis-based not-for-profit healthcare system, wanted to use its EHR data to improve provider satisfaction. The organization needed a better way to organize and analyze large amounts of usage data to support two priorities: increasing EHR efficiency for physicians and improving EHR customization for individual users. Nordic was brought in to help.

Nordic built customized data dashboards that gave Allina Health better visibility into EHR usage at the individual, specialty, department, and enterprise levels. These insights enabled performance support trainers to deliver more targeted training and workflows, which improved provider efficiency and helped the organization stay on time and under budget. Some providers supported by the program are now saving about 3 minutes and 8 seconds of EHR time per patient, contributing to higher overall provider satisfaction.
