Volkswagen gains rapid cloud cost visibility with Nordcloud

Volkswagen, a major German automotive manufacturer, needed to achieve better control and allocation of its multi-cloud spend across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, particularly for its new RedHat OpenShift platform. The challenge was to understand the specifics of their cloud expenditure in order to reduce waste and support their broader sustainability goals, leading them to partner with Nordcloud and its FinOps service, Nordcloud Klarity.

Nordcloud worked closely with Volkswagen to co-create and tailor the Klarity solution for automated cost management. The implementation provided Volkswagen with full visibility into spending across departments, built-in rightsizing and savings suggestions, and a GreenOps feature to balance performance with waste-reduction. As a result, Volkswagen gained rapid access to vital data, was able to expose and reallocate resources from areas of high waste, and provided greater value from its cloud spend.

Volkswagen
