Major Dutch Retailer cuts infrastructure costs 30% with Nordcloud

A major Dutch retailer sought to break free from its traditional IT service provider to gain greater control, reduce dependencies, and achieve a more agile and efficient way of working. To modernize its on-premises infrastructure and enable faster rollout of new services, the company partnered with Nordcloud for a migration to and managed services on AWS.

Nordcloud implemented an AWS Migration Acceleration Programme, which included building a highly automated landing zone to support a scalable data centre exit. The vendor migrated and modernized 95% of the retailer's on-premises workloads, including its core SAP systems. As a result, the retailer achieved a 30% reduction in infrastructure costs, significantly improved agility for rolling out new services, and successfully empowered and expanded its in-house development capabilities.
