Case Study: Lumesse reduces operational costs and expands globally with Nordcloud on AWS

Growing to new markets whilst reducing costs through AWS and DevOps

Lumesse, a UK-based human capital management (HCM) software vendor, needed to close two legacy data centre sites while supporting its global customer base of more than 2,400 customers and millions of users. Nordcloud was brought in to help Lumesse migrate from traditional infrastructure to AWS and establish a scalable, repeatable cloud foundation for multiple regions.

Nordcloud implemented an iterative AWS migration using CloudFormation and Chef to automate the deployment and configuration of regional environments, networking, security, and customer workloads. The project helped Lumesse save around half a million pounds per year in operational costs, while also laying the groundwork for further savings through auto-scaling, improved SLAs, and a stronger DevOps culture.
