Case Study: Avena Nordic achieves a cloud-native online service with Nordcloud

Avena Nordic Grain Oy, the leading grain, oilseed and feeding-stuffs trading company in Finland, needed to modernize its Avenakauppa.fi online service to better serve farmers across devices, support more advanced user services, and create a scalable platform that could expand into the Baltics and beyond. Nordcloud helped address this challenge with a cloud-native, API-driven approach built on AWS.

Nordcloud ran end-user interviews, redesigned the customer journey and UI, and implemented the platform in React with Prismic for content management, while also building new back-end systems and localization support from the start. The renewed Avenakauppa.fi is now live in Finland, with Baltic launch plans underway, and users report information is easier to find and better presented; the move to Lambda-based services also delivered lower-than-expected operating costs.
