Enabling Innovation with Cloud APIs — IndustryHack API for Veho

Veho, a Finnish automotive retailer, partnered with Nordcloud to support its IndustryHack competition. The challenge was to quickly expose as much operational data as possible to contest teams in a reliable, easy-to-understand way so they could focus on building ideas and applications during a 48-hour weekend.

Nordcloud built a cloud API platform on AWS, using services such as RDS, API Gateway, and Lambda, and secured access with API keys. The result was a successful event with many innovative applications created, positive feedback on the API platform, and faster development thanks to simpler access to operational data.
