Doubling the mileage of Kemppi's R&D budget

Kemppi, a globally leading welding equipment and management technology company, needed help developing its WeldEye solution to address the skills gap in welding by connecting equipment to the internet and simplifying use and inspection records. Nordcloud supported the project by bringing expertise in AWS serverless technologies for the initial build.

Nordcloud helped Kemppi design the initial architecture using AWS IoT Core, API Gateway, Lambda, and other AWS services, and also developed the first Angular.js user interface. The result was a faster, more cost-efficient development process, with Kemppi able to deliver the solution in half the time and cost of a traditional infrastructure-based approach, while also ramping up its internal development team smoothly.
