RHP, a UK-based not-for-profit housing provider managing over 10,000 properties, needed to improve its backup and recovery processes. With support from Nordcloud and AWS, the organisation looked to move away from a tape-based setup that required physical collection and transport, while also reducing data centre costs, delays, and security risks.

Nordcloud implemented a phased migration of RHP’s backup and restore operations to the cloud, automating the process using AWS services including S3, Glacier, and Storage Gateway. The result was faster backups and restores, improved security, lower costs, and less day-to-day operational burden for the IT team, with RHP’s data now securely replicated and backed up.
