Aidon, a leading smart metering solution provider in the Nordics, needed to modernise the user interface of its Gateware head-end system to improve operational efficiency and support expansion into new markets. Nordcloud was engaged to redesign and implement a faster, easier-to-use interface that could handle multi-tenant use cases and new business requirements on top of Aidon’s existing backend systems, using Azure-based application development.

Nordcloud delivered a modern single-page application built with React, supported by REST APIs and a new NoSQL search backend to manage millions of devices and mass operations efficiently. The new interface improved search performance, scaling, and maintainability, while enabling faster, more agile releases. Nordcloud’s design methods and style guides also improved consistency and speed across Aidon’s other user interfaces.
