Agilifying the Release Cycle of a Business-to-Business Service

Enegia, Finland’s leading energy industry expert, partnered with Nordcloud to improve the agility of its digital service development. The challenge was that customer needs were hard to predict, and Enegia needed a faster way to respond to changing demands in a competitive market while developing its cloud-based reporting platform, EnerKey, on Microsoft Azure.

Nordcloud helped Enegia renew the platform architecture toward a microservice-based design, introduced automated testing, and enabled continuous integration to support smaller, independently developed features. The result was a much faster release cycle, growing from 7 releases in 2015 to 32 in 2016, with Enegia now able to move ideas from design to production in weeks instead of months.
