Acu-Market, a leading U.S. supplier of acupuncture, herbal, homeopathic and supplement products, was running a heavily customized AspDotNetStoreFront site that prevented upgrades and lacked a modern CMS. Facing the need to migrate roughly 40,000 customers and 10,000 products, integrate with MOM ERP, add new shipping methods, and support a doctor prescription workflow, Acu-Market engaged Citytech to migrate to the nopCommerce platform to take advantage of its .NET technology stack, modular architecture and community support.

Citytech implemented nopCommerce, completed the 10-week migration and Azure deployment, and built custom functionality including real-time MOM ERP sync, a Free Shipping Discount Rule plugin, a One-Page Checkout, and a Doctor (AcuScript) module. The nopCommerce-based site now handles about 90 orders per day (a 30% increase) and has seen a 20% growth in new customers, with improved performance and ongoing post-launch support from Citytech.
