Market.coop is a co-operative marketplace of artisans, producers, traders, farmers, charities and individuals built on the nopCommerce platform. The customer needed a multi-vendor, multi-language and multi-currency site from scratch with API-based user registration and updates, social logins (Facebook, Twitter, Google+), barter/exchange functionality, a customized vendor/admin back office, and PayPal Adaptive (chained) payments to split payouts while hiding receiver details.

Using nopCommerce (implemented by TMotions), the project was delivered in 90 days with support for 7 languages and 22 currencies. The solution combined nopCommerce’s multi-vendor and API features with custom work: barter exchange, product video and vendor image uploads, a streamlined vendor back office, dispute workflow, and a PayPal Adaptive plugin that automates chained split payments (example split: merchant 93%, coop 3.5%, others 2.5%/1%). The result is a live co-op marketplace that onboards vendors, handles automated split payouts, and manages disputes—measurable by the 90-day launch and multi-language/multi-currency support.
