Doctor-patient online interaction brought to a new level

Dowa, a reputable online pharmacy in Kuwait established in 2011, needed to move beyond its legacy AspDotNetStorefront site to support new doctor–patient communication and prescription workflows. Comelite IT Solutions rebuilt the store on the nopCommerce platform to meet extensive requirements including OTC support, multiple user roles (doctors, patients, agents), issuing and converting prescriptions to orders, online consultations/chat, Kuwait’s Knet payment gateway integration, and native Android and iOS apps.

Comelite IT Solutions customized the nopCommerce core and developed seven client-specific plugins (live chat, commission manager, vendor rating, web API, Knet payment gateway, HTML widget, etc.), plus two native apps and a SignalR-based live chat. Using nopCommerce they migrated 6,000 products and registered 12,000 user accounts; the solution enabled prescription-to-order flows, live consultations, local payments, and delivered a robust, extensible platform that supported measurable growth for Dowa.
