Datgel migrating from nopCommerce 1.9 to 3.8

Datgel, a specialist provider of geotechnical and geoenvironmental software, needed to move their heavily customized nopCommerce storefront from nopCommerce 1.9 to nopCommerce 3.8. Their challenge included migrating custom domain models and ASP.NET WebForms content so non-developers could edit pages, reworking bespoke license/location/organization data, and moving downloads to Azure Blob Storage.

Dev Partner performed the upgrade to nopCommerce 3.8, reimplemented custom logic as plugins, converted 160 WebForms pages into a CMS with macros, and created new table structures plus SQL migration scripts to move 1,400 products and 2,000 customers into the new database; they also integrated Azure Blob Storage and a responsive Unify-based mobile site. As a result, Datgel now runs on nopCommerce 3.8 with editable CMS content and the measured migration outcomes (160 pages, 1,400 products, 2,000 customers) completed successfully.
