Aswaaq Builds Its Omni-channel Presence With a New Online Store

Aswaaq, a UAE omni-channel grocery retailer, needed an online store to extend its brick-and-mortar shopping mall. Working on the nopCommerce platform (implemented by Citytech), the company required deep integration with its LS NAV (Microsoft Dynamics NAV/LS Retail) ERP for customer authentication and loyalty-point payments, a delivery timeslot selection feature, and migration of large product and user datasets.

Using nopCommerce, Citytech built ERP web services and several custom plugins — including ERP-based login, loyalty PIN validation, a seven-day delivery timeslot matrix, social-share product links that add items to cart, and a mobile-friendly Pavilion theme — to connect eCommerce, POS and back office via LS Retail. The project migrated 40,000 products and 8,000 user accounts and delivered eight custom plugins, enabling real-time ERP transaction tracking and a seamless omni-channel shopping experience.
