How a director in film and television became his own app developer

SocialCard worked with Noodl to turn a donation idea into a working prototype. Founder Arne Nostitz-Rieneck, a film and television director with only basic coding experience, needed a way to show how his QR-code-based, cashless donation system could work even though the project was unfunded and too complex to build by hand.

Using Noodl’s visual low-code platform, database integration, and fast native Mac app environment, Arne built SocialCard from concept to reality and could iterate quickly on the app’s interactivity. The result won a project award at the LA Techweek Hackathon 2022, and Noodl’s support helped him solve technical challenges along the way, enabling a prototype strong enough to move toward production.
