Culligan creates the job scheduling of its technicians with Opti-Time

Culligan, a global leader in water treatment, faced a complex scheduling challenge: managing hundreds of technicians and installers across Consumers, Fountains and C&I operations with high volumes of recurring visits, deliveries and emergency repairs. To replace printed schedules and harmonize practices across markets, Culligan selected Nomadia’s Opti‑Time routing solution (integrated into its Optiservice project) to optimize planning for some 230 mobile resources and meet constraints like customer availability, technician skills and delivery frequencies.

Nomadia implemented Opti‑Time alongside Culligan’s new ERP and Optiservice, adding territory balancing, real‑time rescheduling and centralized data for better visibility and inventory control. The deployment (Sept 2012–Nov 2013) reduced mileage and travel time, delivering measurable gains: about a 15% increase in technician productivity and a 10% reduction in travel time between jobs, faster planner onboarding, improved customer communication and more efficient workload management—demonstrating Nomadia’s impact on service quality and operational cost.
