Fertagus, the commuter rail operator serving the Lisbon suburbs, needed to provide remote energy consumption information using its existing on-board meters and measurement chain to promote driving and operational efficiency. Nomad Digital was engaged to supply an Intelligent Fleet Management solution to collect and expose consumption data and support energy-saving policies.

Nomad Digital implemented a non-intrusive system that reads existing on-board equipment and transmits data to an on‑shore Central System for analysis, export and integration. The Nomad Digital solution (delivered via Nomad Tech) enabled remote monitoring of energy use, supported operational and driver-efficiency measures, and made energy consumption measurable and actionable for Fertagus’ energy‑saving programs.
