DSB, Denmark’s state-owned rail operator carrying 157 million passengers a year, wanted to improve customer experience and increase ridership after a study of Copenhagen’s S‑train users showed real‑time traffic information was the top demand. Nomad Digital’s solution provided free onboard internet and a portal that also delivers real‑time management and rich media, enabling DSB to engage passengers directly; in the first four months 90,000 unique users logged on, many opting into the loyalty club and newsletter. Demand for the service grew, customer satisfaction increased, and the portal generated supplementary revenue through modest third‑party advertising — demonstrating measurable impact from Nomad Digital’s connectivity and passenger experience offerings.
