Preview of the Cybernet Case Study

Cybernet and Nokia redefine Pakistan’s network landscape with 1.2T-per-lambda backbone

Cybernet, a leading broadband and fixed access provider in Pakistan, faced the challenge of modernizing its national backbone network to keep pace with rapidly evolving connectivity needs. To address this, the company partnered with vendor Nokia to deploy its cutting-edge optical transport solution.

Nokia implemented its 1830 GX-based solution to create a next-generation optical fiber cable network for Cybernet. This new infrastructure delivers 1.2 terabits per second per wavelength and will connect over 25 cities, providing more than 50 Tbps of long-haul capacity. The solution from Nokia forms the high-capacity foundation for data center interconnect, enterprise services, and Cybernet's consumer broadband, connecting Pakistan to the global digital economy.
