Medco Deploys Noke Bluetooth Locking and Tracking Technology Across Its Fleet of Fuel Tankers

Medco, a long-established Mediterranean oil shipping and transport company, faced persistent fuel pilferage across its fleet of petroleum delivery tank trucks. To address this security and quality-assurance challenge, Medco deployed Nokē’s Bluetooth locking and tracking hardware and software—Nokē’s line of keyless smart locks that unlock via smartphone, tablet, or fob.

Nokē implemented a connected access-control system that lets managers issue keys remotely, track lock locations, monitor real-time lock transactions, and review full audit trails through Nokē’s API. The solution has significantly reduced theft and product tampering, lowered security costs by eliminating disposable seals, and simplified operations while providing measurable visibility and control across Medco’s tanker fleet.
