Janus International sought to modernize self‑storage operations by bringing IoT access control down to the unit level and enabling remote, portfolio‑wide management while reducing reliance on mechanical padlocks. To meet that challenge they partnered with Nokē and integrated Janus’s SecurGuard® Smart Entry System powered by Nokē’s Bluetooth lock technology to deliver cloud‑based digital key management and smartphone/Bluetooth fob access.

Janus implemented the SecurGuard system with Nokē Bluetooth unit controllers and sensors, providing wireless, cloud‑aggregated access across gates, doors, elevators and individual units. The Nokē‑powered solution delivered unit‑level security, centralized data for remote monitoring and portfolio analytics, and the operational flexibility to support unmanned facilities — markedly improving security and management capabilities across Janus International’s deployments.
