Karity, an online retailer of limited‑edition professional cosmetics, was losing time and sales to fraud screening after moving to Shopify. Their Shopify Fraud Filter routinely declined legitimate buyers and still left Karity with 3–5 chargebacks per month, forcing the team to manually review about 10% of orders (95% of which were legitimate) and spend roughly 40 hours a week on reviews.
