Stagecoach Shifts Its Cloud Adoption Strategy Up a Gear With Node4’s Secure SD-WAN

Stagecoach, the UK’s biggest bus and coach operator with 24,000 employees and 100 depots, needed to modernize its WAN as it moved toward a cloud-first strategy. Its existing network lacked the bandwidth, resilience, security, and monitoring needed to support collaboration tools, SaaS applications, and cloud migration, while also creating downtime and visibility issues. Stagecoach worked with Node4 Ltd to address these challenges with Secure SD-WAN.

Node4 Ltd implemented Secure SD-WAN with centralized security controls, improved monitoring, local internet breakouts, and support for fibre and dual-link connectivity. The result was up to 10x more bandwidth per site, stronger network resilience, better security visibility and control, and lower meeting costs through improved collaboration tools like Office 365 and Teams. Stagecoach reported major performance gains across the business, with sites able to stay online even during link failures and employees working more efficiently.
