Portus Consulting, a UK employee benefits provider serving more than 187 companies, wanted to expand its portfolio with a new fully functional retirement planning application called RetirePort. The challenge was to design a complex tool that could account for many variables, including pensions, ISAs, unit trusts, property investments, and dependants, while meeting Portus’s ambition for a market-leading software product. The result was a ground-breaking retirement planner that helps users calculate their expected retirement income and suggests ways to address shortfalls or budget for extras. The solution strengthened Portus’s service offering, supported new business efforts, and is hosted in Node4’s secure Derby data centre for reliable protection and scalable growth.
