A Node4 Ltd Case Study

Preview of the South Yorkshire Housing Association Case Study

Node4 Helped South Yorkshire Housing Association (SYHA) Fully Embrace a Modern, Cloud-first Strategy and Continue Services for Customers Throughout the Pandemic

South Yorkshire Housing Association, a not-for-profit housing provider supporting more than 10,000 people across Yorkshire and surrounding areas, needed to modernise its IT as it relocated its head office and moved toward a cloud-first approach. To keep its critical housing, care and support services running around the clock, the organisation looked for a flexible partner to replace legacy on-premises systems. Node4 Ltd provided the managed services foundation, including hybrid cloud, colocation, SD-WAN, backup and disaster recovery.

With Node4 Ltd, South Yorkshire Housing Association completed a two-hour migration to Node4’s Wakefield data centre with zero downtime and fully implemented its hybrid cloud environment. The results included a 100% successful backup rate, the first successful DR test as a business, a 100% reduction in P1 network outages, and a 90% reduction in P2 outages. Node4 Ltd also helped 450 staff transition smoothly to homeworking during Covid-19, keeping essential services online without customer impact.
