Motorpoint, the UK car supermarket founded in 1998, needed a better way to support rapid growth across its seven sites. Its IT environment was inconsistent from branch to branch, with different software versions and dated hardware making it harder to open new locations efficiently. Node4 Ltd was brought in to help Motorpoint streamline its IT operations using a more unified cloud-based approach.

Node4 Ltd implemented its private cloud solution, n4Cloud, hosted primarily in its Northampton data centre and backed up at its Derby site. This moved Motorpoint’s key servers into the cloud, centralized updates and backups, and created a single, unified Cisco-based platform across the business. As a result, Motorpoint can now set up IT for new branches within minutes, while also reducing the ongoing burden of managing infrastructure in-house.
