Case Study: WebNX achieves better network performance and automated route optimization with Noction Intelligent Routing Platform

WebNX, an LA-based Internet Service Provider, has achieved a considerably better ROI from BGP performance automation

WebNX, an ISP focused on datacenter services, bandwidth, and dedicated servers, needed a safer and more efficient way to manage BGP route optimization at the network edge. The company was dealing with heavy traffic volumes across multiple Tier-1 providers, and its existing automation solution could only handle a fraction of the load while also creating compatibility issues after an infrastructure upgrade. To reduce the risk of misconfigurations and improve ROI from BGP automation, WebNX turned to Noction and its Intelligent Routing Platform (IRP).

Noction implemented IRP to automate route selection across WebNX’s full traffic volume and provide a web-based interface for safer routing policy changes. Over more than two years in production, Noction IRP optimized over 9,000 TB of traffic and made more than 38 million route improvements. The platform reduced average latency by 25%, from 306 ms to 231 ms, and cut packet loss by 85%, from 41% to 6%, helping WebNX improve network performance and reliability.
