Case Study: UK2 Group achieves automated traffic optimization and reduced latency with Noction IRP

A Noction Case Study

Preview of the UK2 Group Case Study

Noction IRP helps UK2 Group manage bandwidth usage to meet the commit levels established with its transit providers

UK2 Group, a London-based hosting and cloud services provider, needed to manage a global, high-bandwidth network across multiple datacenters while keeping traffic within ISP commit limits, improving connectivity, and reducing latency and packet loss. The team was spending hours manually rerouting traffic, monitoring provider usage, and reacting to customer-reported performance issues instead of proactively identifying problems.

Noction implemented Noction IRP to automate BGP route optimization, enforce commit control across transit providers, and continuously select the best-performing paths based on latency and packet loss. The results were significant: Noction IRP optimized about 18 PB of traffic in the first month, pushed over 2.5 million routing updates, reduced latency by 27% on average, cut packet loss by 81%, and helped UK2 Group lower support workload and renegotiate transit costs with better leverage.
