Case Study: Network Platforms achieves improved network performance and automated BGP management with Noction IRP

A Noction Case Study

Preview of the Network Platforms Case Study

How Noction helps a South African ICT solutions provider achieve outstanding network performance and engineering time savings

Network Platforms, a South African ICT provider offering wholesale connectivity, cloud services, and hosting, needed a better way to manage its growing network and avoid BGP-related issues such as congestion, slow routes, packet loss, and latency. The company was spending too much engineering time on manual BGP changes, which increased the risk of human error and made it harder to maintain reliable service for customers.

To address this, Noction implemented Noction IRP (Intelligent Routing Platform), first in non-intrusive mode for analysis and then in intrusive mode to automatically optimize outbound traffic via iBGP. With Noction, Network Platforms improved 53,732 unique prefixes in the first month, cut average loss rate from 45% to 7%, and reduced latency by 23.2% to its lowest historical level, significantly improving WAN performance and reducing manual engineering effort.
