A Nlyte Software Case Study
World Bank, a global lender with 120 offices and five data centers totaling roughly 30,000 sq ft of white space, faced a major consolidation challenge. Its data center estate was aging and heterogeneous, tracked with CAD drawings, spreadsheets and a home‑grown database, leaving teams unable to answer critical questions about capacity planning, asset lifecycle, power costs, real‑time temperature or accurate colocation billing — and producing planning errors of about 25%.
By deploying Nlyte’s DCIM (Asset Manager, Asset Optimizer and integrated modules plus BMC Remedy integration), World Bank gained real‑time cabinet‑level power and space monitoring, lifecycle tracking, workflow integration, forecasting and zone‑based billing for colocation. The software enabled faster, more confident asset placement and SLA proofing, reduced manual processes, and positioned the bank to consolidate five data centers into two (an anticipated ~8:1 square‑foot reduction) while improving capacity planning, cost visibility and operational consistency.
