Telstra - Customer Case Study

Telstra, Australia’s leading telecommunications and technology company, depended on data centers as the backbone of its services but found its legacy DCIM tools (used for nearly 12 years) unable to meet future needs. With 26 physical servers supporting operations and responsibility for roughly 10,000 racks across 22 sites, the team concluded that continuing on the same path would be complex, costly, and limit growth.

Following a five‑year assessment, Telstra selected Nlyte for its automation, AI/ML capabilities and aggressive roadmap. The implementation virtualized the platform—cutting 26 physical servers to 8 virtual—while scaling to 30,000 racks across 436 sites, reducing complexity, licensing and power costs, and improving uptime and support. About 200 users across planning, facilities, IT and finance now leverage the DCIM for space, capacity and lifecycle management, with ServiceNow integration and future AI/AR initiatives planned to further optimize operations.
