Scottish and Southern Energy - Customer Case Study

Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE), one of the UK’s largest energy companies, needed to replace two aging, capacity-constrained data centres with new purpose-built facilities. The project required a low‑risk, compliant and environmentally sensitive migration and ongoing operation, with centralized planning and change control to protect business- and safety-critical services.

SSE deployed the Nlyte Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) suite to create a single source of truth for all assets, power and cooling. Nlyte enabled rapid, accurate mapping and migration, formal change control, fewer mistakes and faster deployments, and real‑time power visibility that helped optimise usage (in some cases revealing up to 50% less required power), while improving risk management and cross-team planning between IT and facilities.
