Mentor Graphics, an international software developer with 73 locations across 18 countries (12 MW capacity, 30,000 sq ft of white space), was relying on an outdated, vendor‑locked monitoring system that was slow, limited in supported protocols and unable to deliver real‑time alerts across time zones. They needed a central, reliable solution to monitor power and environmental conditions and to notify the right people immediately to avoid costly downtime.

Nlyte Energy Optimizer was implemented after a successful proof of concept, providing a vendor‑neutral, multi‑platform dashboard that monitors 32,000 points (power, temperature, humidity, smoke, water leaks, etc.), supports SNMP, ModBus, OPC, SOAP, BacNet and XML, and runs on PCs, Macs and Linux. The rollout was quick and easy to configure, enabled Mentor Graphics to add devices and integrations without vendor help, improved visibility and response times, and scaled to cover all global facilities.
