Blue Shield of California, a nonprofit health plan serving over 4 million members, had consolidated its infrastructure into two colocation sites but struggled to manage dozens of server and IDF rooms. Asset tracking was siloed across spreadsheets (and a limited Racktables deployment), leaving teams unable to see power, space or lifecycle information, slowing deployments and making cost and capacity questions unanswerable.

In 2015 BSOC implemented Nlyte DCIM (with a ServiceNow connector) to centralize inventory, power monitoring and workflows.
