A Nlyte Software Case Study
Blue Shield of California, a nonprofit health plan serving over 4 million members, had consolidated its infrastructure into two colocation sites but struggled to manage dozens of server and IDF rooms. Asset tracking was siloed across spreadsheets (and a limited Racktables deployment), leaving teams unable to see power, space or lifecycle information, slowing deployments and making cost and capacity questions unanswerable.
In 2015 BSOC implemented Nlyte DCIM (with a ServiceNow connector) to centralize inventory, power monitoring and workflows. The solution enabled 300–400 staff to self-serve reports in seconds, reduced incident triage from hours to about five minutes, cut “dock‑to‑decom” time from 6–9 months to 30 days, and now tracks over 10,000 assets—improving lifecycle management, audits and capacity planning.
