National Bank of Lithuania boosts transaction speed 60x with Nix

The National Bank of Lithuania, a fintech company providing a modular online banking platform, partnered with Nix to enhance its system's performance, scalability, and security. The challenge was to handle over 400,000 transactions daily by moving from a monolithic architecture to microservices, integrate major European payment systems like SEPA, and develop an advanced anti-money laundering (AML) module to protect sensitive financial data.

Nix successfully migrated the platform to a microservice architecture using Golang on AWS, which increased transaction speed by 60 times. They integrated SEPA, FPS, and BACS payment systems and developed a comprehensive AML module. As a result, the bank's client pool grew from 5 to over 30 businesses, and the platform now seamlessly processes over 400,000 transactions per day across 36 countries.
