PDF Productivity and eSigning for All at Pacific National

Pacific National, Australia’s largest freight rail company with about 3,500 employees across 100+ sites, needed a scalable PDF and eSigning solution after separating from its parent in 2014. With only 500 Adobe Acrobat Pro licenses, a largely virtualized Citrix environment, and widespread printing to sign and edit documents, the business lacked company-wide PDF tools and faced inefficient, paper-heavy workflows.

Pacific National negotiated an enterprise agreement with Nitro to license every user and device, deployed the Citrix-compatible software across its distributed environment, and used Nitro’s Customer Success team to drive training and adoption. The rollout delivered standardized processes, broad user adoption, successful virtualized deployment, and opened the door to print optimization efforts that improved productivity, cost efficiency, and sustainability.
