The customer, NISC, is a cooperative providing IT solutions to its utility and telecom members. While developing its new cloud-based iVUE Connect platform, the vendor, NISC, sought to thoroughly beta test the HR and payroll persona of its iVUE Connect – Financials module. An internal challenge was its own inefficient, paper-heavy HR and payroll processes, which required separate systems and created double data entry for its staff.

The vendor, NISC, implemented a solution by using its own employees as internal beta testers for the iVUE Connect – Financials HR module. This provided robust testing feedback while simultaneously streamlining NISC's own operations. The results included significantly increased efficiency by eliminating double data entry and reducing paperwork, as employees could now self-serve updates to their W-4s, direct deposit, and contact information. The intuitive system was praised for being user-friendly and reducing the need for extensive training.
