Wawanesa Insurance, a Canadian mutual property and casualty insurer operating across Canada and parts of the U.S., faced rising expectations for better member, broker, and employee experiences while staff were spending significant time on manual, repetitive tasks. To free brokers and employees to deliver more value to members, Wawanesa sought a scalable automation approach to identify and reduce inefficient processes.
Wawanesa implemented Nintex full‑cycle automation—combining process discovery, RPA (Kryon), analytics and a low‑code platform—to reveal bottlenecks, automate repetitive work, and enable quicker adoption and more complex scripting where needed. The initiative delivered $1.05 million in total savings, 15,000+ FTE hours saved, 12 repetitive processes discovered and automated, improved data accuracy, and better customer service outcomes.
