Uniting Branches to Eliminate “60 Ways to Do the Same Thing”

Sparebanken Vest, a Norwegian bank founded in 1832 with 54 branches and about 800 employees, struggled with fragmented, inconsistent ways of working across locations — “around 60 different ways to do the same thing” — which created inefficiencies, confusion for new staff and excessive administrative work that pulled front-line employees away from customers.

Working with Vivento, the bank implemented Nintex K2 Five and SmartForms to standardize and automate more than 50 processes, centralize back-office functions, and add reporting and escalation capabilities. The result: standardized operations across all branches, reduced administrative workload and costs, improved employee experience, and more time for front-office staff to serve customers and sell products.
