Trinity Grammar School automates remote student roll calls

Trinity Grammar School, an independent boys’ school in Sydney with over 2,000 students across three campuses, needed a fast way to verify daily attendance when COVID-19 forced remote learning. With only days to move from classroom to home-based teaching, the school sought an efficient, reliable method for students to confirm participation each morning that worked with existing systems and processes.

Working with partner Synergy, Trinity built a Nintex Workflow Cloud attendance form integrated with its Canvas LMS and Microsoft SQL database, using single sign-on for a seamless student experience. The solution was live in two days, preserved the school’s SMS absence notifications, and handled more than 30,000 remote attendance records in four weeks—streamlining roll calls, integrating with existing platforms, and proving simple and effective for students and staff.
