STIEBEL ELTRON increases transparency and productivity with workflow automation

STIEBEL ELTRON, a German manufacturer of energy-efficient heating and ventilation systems serving customers in 120 countries, needed a secure on‑premises way to share large files and eliminate paper-based, slow collaboration processes while retaining control of sensitive data. Public cloud services were unacceptable, and building custom SharePoint solutions proved costly, time-consuming and opaque.

Using SharePoint 2013 with Nintex Workflow and Forms, STIEBEL ELTRON automated temporary file‑shares, AD user provisioning and time‑limited access with self‑archiving and visible workflow status. The Nintex solution standardized communications, cut process time by about 50% (saving roughly 45 minutes per collaboration site), improved transparency and tracking, and enabled users worldwide to book training and create project rooms from mobile devices without IT.
