Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is a major London healthcare provider with 15,000+ staff serving around 2 million patients a year and acting as a Category 1 responder. Faced with the need to meet the Civil Contingencies Act and rapidly mobilize consistent, organization-wide responses across 150 departments, the trust found its spreadsheet- and file-based approach unwieldy, opaque and unable to give clear visibility of impacts and resource priorities during incidents.

Working with Velocity, the trust implemented an end-to-end business continuity system built on Nintex K2 Five: SmartForms in SharePoint integrated with Everbridge notifications. The solution delivers intuitive, real-time action plans, impact analysis and reporting, enabling consistent responses at any hour, reducing administrative burden on clinicians, improving resilience through drills and training, and saving significant time and resources.
