PT Berlian Sistem Informasi (BSI) is a Jakarta-based IT solution and consulting firm with about 150 consultants. BSI faced slow, paper-based approval and document-management processes across sales and HR—employee leave, travel and overtime approvals and client proposals were often delayed, misplaced or duplicated, causing inefficiency, frustrated clients and negative impacts on cash flow.
BSI implemented a K2 Software workflow integrated with Microsoft SharePoint (its “Groupware System”) to route electronic forms, send approver notifications and connect to HRM and SAP systems, while providing a centralized document repository. The result was faster approvals, fewer human errors, standardized processes, improved visibility and reduced risk of lost documents and service delays—cutting overall processing time and improving customer satisfaction.
