A Nintex Case Study
The City of Karratha, a remote local government in Western Australia, experienced rapid population and infrastructure growth during a mining boom. That expansion brought many new staff and unfamiliar public‑sector responsibilities, exposing gaps in process knowledge, compliance risks (particularly in procurement) and pressure from the state to demonstrate improved efficiencies—so the council needed to tighten and standardize its internal procedures.
The council implemented Nintex Promapp to centralize, standardize and collaboratively build process documentation with embedded links, forms and controls. With around 600 processes mapped and more than half the staff trained, audits became simpler, cross‑team resilience and onboarding improved, and the organization gained a single, up‑to‑date source of processes that reduced risk and boosted operational efficiency.
