Port Stephens Council Streamlines Processes and Cuts Costs with Nintex Promapp™

Port Stephens Council, a local government in New South Wales, faced mounting pressure on its environment and services from population growth, development and tourism. Having adopted the Australian Business Excellence Framework, the council needed to map, manage and continuously improve processes across the organization, but its existing Visio-based approach could not scale or provide systematic process management.

The council deployed Nintex Promapp’s cloud-based process management, integrated with SharePoint and TRIM, using a phased rollout with strong executive buy-in, training and decentralized ownership. Today hundreds of users manage over 1,300 mapped processes, with process improvement mandated at meetings, 93% of annual reviews completed, and annual time-cost savings of AUD 6,500 for new-process creation and AUD 28,600 for reviews, while collaboration, accountability and service delivery have noticeably improved.
